NewslettersA monthly newsletter is a great way to keep your name in front of your contacts. We recommend you avoid the newsletters full of recipes and generic information. Instead, send out a real estate specific newsletter that reinforces your professionalism. It will help you stand out from other Realtors and it is more likely to be read by your contacts.

Be sure to keep your contact information visible and always include your photograph on your newsletter.

You can include a cover letter with your newsletter if you like or just send it out on its own.

The most important things to remember when mailing out newsletters are:

  • Only mail to your known contacts (unless you are sending a "farm" newsletter).
  • Call behind the newsletter to be sure they received it and see if they have any questions. (An excuse for a call).
  • Send it every month, no exceptions. It can take 12 months for a newsletter campaign to have effect and if you miss a month you start at the beginning of the twelve month period.

You can create your own newsletter easily with Microsoft Word using the templates available on the Internet from Microsoft. However, this is time consuming and the results are not always as professional as you would like. There are many newsletter marketing services available for real estate professionals.
